Review Of New Science Diet Ideal Balance Dog Food

So it has to be said that I am a member of and I recently got invited to a campaign for Science Diet and their new line of food called Ideal Balance. I got a free small bag of the product and tried it for a couple of weeks with my previously mentioned dog Shadow.

To be honest I didn't really think that I would be all that impressed by it. I feed my dog a good brand of dog food with great ingredients and just didn't think this would top it.

I was wrong! I was very impressed with the quality of the food and the ingredient list. Fresh chicken is the first ingredient and there is no corn in the product either. I chose the grain free style because my dog has skin issues and can be prone to itchy patches at times and going grain free is one of the things that has helped with his issues.
Within a couple of weeks of trying the product he did not scratch like he did before and has had no patchy skin problems since I started using the Science Diet. His coat is also softer and shinier as well. Just as importantly he loves the food. We all know if your little guy or gal won't eat the food then the benefits don't really matter. He wolfs it down at each feeding and is very happy with the change. We had no problems with the transition and it has become the new food of choice for both myself and him.

**Now I am not telling you that if you buy this product that it will cure your dogs skin issues but I did think it was a an important issue to bring up because it was such a beneficial side effect and one of the big reasons that I decided to switch his food completely.

Science Diet online also has a part of their site where you can compare the Ideal Balance to your brand and get a better idea if it is worth trying for you. As a bonus you can also register for free with their site and print a rebate for up to 12.99 back if you buy one of the Ideal Balance options at the pet store. Just click over to to compare you current dog food and print your rebate.
I know I love getting money back on a purchase I was already going to make! :)

*Note: I do not receive any sort of payment if you click on the link and print the rebate and/or buy this product from Science Diet

Introducing my little guy!

Hello everyone,
Sorry for being out of touch for a bit, been spending time with family and getting things done. Basically living life. I am back though and thought I would introduce you to my little guy. This is my boy Shadow. He is a Blue Heeler, Australian Sheppard mix. He is a smart energetic little guy who definitely keeps me busy. I have been able to really flex my dog training muscle with him because he catches on so quick and is eager to learn more. I got him when he was 8 weeks old from someone who was planning to take the last two puppies from his female dogs litter to the animal shelter. When I got there Shadow was the only one left and I just had to have him. He is like a brother to my daughter and has totally infiltrated our family. Well I will cut this short, but if you have questions or comments feel free to send them my way. Hope you enjoyed meeting my little guy and I will post a new article soon. Have a great rest of your weekend.
